Environmental Sustainability

SOS Kilkenny is committed to environmental sustainability and climate action and we are implementing eco-friendly practices across our organisation.

We are actively reducing our carbon footprint by promoting energy efficiency, minimizing waste, and encouraging recycling initiatives. Our team is dedicated to using sustainable resources, reducing single-use plastics, and supporting biodiversity through our horticulture programmes in Deenview in Castlecomer and Bloom School of Horticulture on the Callan Road.

We are prioritising education and training for our staff and the people we support about the importance of environmental responsibility, encouraging them to adopt sustainable habits both at work and in their daily lives.

By integrating these initiatives, SOS Kilkenny is fostering a greener, more sustainable future for our community.
